Interview Details –
Well it wasn't necessarily an interview, more like a pre-intereview. I spoke with the hiring manager who was at the cashier. I waited for about 5 minutes and she asked me to walk with her around the store. She asked me three questions:
"Since it seems you have no retail experience, why have you decided to apply to a retail store?"
"Where do you get your fashion style from?"
"What do you know about Talbots store and company?" "Did you visit the website?"
To which I admitted I did however I did not read anything about the but I did visit the website to get idea of what audience the clothes is marketed to. Overall I answered the questions in a terrible manner but for whatever reason she seemed to want to give me another chance and let me asked to do some research and give her a call back when I felt ready with my answers. I found her very nice, honest, and helpful. She gave me a little insight on how to answer retail store related interview questions.
