Phone interview for fit, online aptitude exam and personality test, then in-office interview. Went well, very accommodating. Ended up chatting with recruiter about other locations...none were very good but DC's usually aren't. They reimburse for travel and expenses.

Very professional process. First had phone screen with recruiter - mostly administrative and employment fact-based, with one or two "tell me about a time..." questions. Recruiter was pretty thorough in describing the role, and shared good insights about the latest environment at Target.

The hiring process is pretty standard. I applied and heard back within two weeks. The interview was very laid back and had textbook behavioral based questions. When I came in to interview, I interviewed in front of two different groups of executives. Both interviews had similar themed questions. My advice would be to save certain responses and personal experience stories because you will be speaking to two sets of people for approximately 20 minutes.

I talked to a recruiter at a career fair. They offered me an interview after it showed that I was truly interested within the company and inquired further about the recruiter and the company. First interview was scheduled within a week, and if you get past the first round of interviews you take an assessment test, then another interview gets scheduled.

I applied through college or university. The process took a dayinterviewed at Target in October 2014.

On campus behavioral interview followed by an on site factory tour an executive behavioral interview. Questions were fairly predictable and straightforward. Friendly people. The recruiters responded to all inquires quickly. Factory tour was interesting, some parts of factory were blocked off to tours because of proprietary processes. Very nice pay, just in the middle of no where.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Target in August 2014.

    Interview Details

applied online, got an email to set up a phone interview. A HR rep called at the time I had set up for the interview. She started by talking about herself... a lot. Then she asked me about my college experiences which was odd because I graduated from college 2 years ago. Other than that it was questions using the STAR system which she quickly explained (not in detail) and simple questions. The interview was done within 10 mins. I asked the interviewer a few simple questions having to do with the questions she asked me. ex: She asked if I would consider a position in a different geographic location. I asked her if their were any opening in different geographic locations. To which she replied." well no that's just something I have to ask, I'm just looking for candidates for the Tifton location." After I asked a few more questions that she didnt really have answers for she told me she sent me an email for an assessment I needed to complete and that I would hear about the position within a week. I took the assessment and 4 days later I get an email saying I am no longer being considered.

    Interview Questions
    • asked about my on campus experiences. I guess this was just to create a conversational tone to the interview but it was weird because I've been out of college for 2 years and had more recent experience that would have been better to speak about in the interview but when I tried to change the subject to my work experience, she seemed dissatisfied with my answers.   Answer Question

I applied online – interviewed at Target in April 2014.

    Interview Details

I was contacted by a recruiter who did some initial background questions. I was then moved on to the next phase. I was as behavioral questions. I was then given a face-to-face interview. They ask a series of behavioral questions. Situation, Behavior, Result. I was interviewed by three groups of two people. Because I was applying for an out-of-state position, I did the interview via video conference in one of the distribution centers.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Target in April 2014.

Contacted via recruiter on LinkedIn. Talked with her twice, both times were basic questions following STAR format. She set up initial on site interview for the following week. I arrived early for the interview and the security guard told me there were no interviews scheduled for that day. I reassured him that there were indeed interviews and I was there for one. After he sorted things out I waited for twenty minutes for an HR representative. She escorted myself and one other applicant through the warehouse on a tour. She then brought us to an office area and had us wait for our interviews. There were three separate interviews. Each with two people. The first was with the engineering / automation team. The second with the logistics side and the third with inbound/outbound. All interviewers were very friendly and the interview was again STAR based.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Target.

    Interview Details

Contacted Target at a University Career fair in February 2014. I was then contacted by a recruiter a few days later to set up an initial phone interview. The phone interview was with a Human Resource Director and took about 30-45 minutes. All the questions were behavioral questions looking for STAR answers (Situation or Task, Action that you took, and Results). I was required to take an online critical thinking and reasoning test, this took about 1 1/2 hours to complete. I was then offered an on-site interview at their distribution center, where I interviewed with various Managers and the General Manager. Same behavioral type questions were asked. I was offered an internship position 2 days later. The entire process took about 1 month.
