    No Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Target (Appleton, WI) in June 2015.

    Interview

Contacted by recruiter for phone interview. Was told that there would be three additional interviews with a Store Team Lead, a District Team Lead (In charge of 10 stores), and an HR Market Leader. The Store Team Lead I interviewed with was young and seemed unprepared for the interview. I was told I would be interviewing with a specific District Team Lead but was contacted by someone else. All of the interview questions were behavioral based and they whole process was very casual

    Interview Questions

    • Q: Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult co-worker.   Answer Question

    ETL Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Muncy, PA
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at Target (Muncy, PA) in June 2015.

    Interview

Phone screening with recruiter, behavioral interview with recruiter, face-to-face interview with Store Leader and another ETL, phone interview with HR Business Partner. All the questions were behavioral. Make sure you know why you want to work for Target and why retail. Phone interviews are hard to gauge because you are unable to read the interviewers non-verbals and they seemed rushed to get off the phone.

    Interview Questions

    • Tell me about a time you motivated a team to accomplish something.   Answer Question

    ETL Target Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Chico, CA
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Target (Chico, CA) in April 2015.

    Interview

Very easy to speak to and went smoothly. They really just want to know who you are and how you can manage other employees. As most interviews are for some people, try to remain calm and not nervous. If you can't handle a simple interview then what makes you capable of delegating 50 employees?

    Interview Questions

    • STAR based questions. Tell me about a time when you had to switch up your day-to-day activities?   Answer Question

    ETL Target Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Wheaton, IL
    Declined Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Target (Wheaton, IL) in March 2015.

    Interview

Friendly. A few behavioral questions. A lot of time for questions at the end. 30 minutes or less. I was wanting to keep my options open for either a summer internship or the ETL position. Interviewer was really pushing for the ETL position and did not seem to actually listen to what I was trying to tell him about my career goals. Overall the interviewer was friendly and knowledgable about Target. Answered all of my questions.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6+ weeksinterviewed at Target in February 2015.

    Interview

The hiring process took about a month and my start date was three weeks after I accepted the initial offer so overall it took almost two months. I contacted a recruiter on LinkedIN and she got back with me a week later. We set up a phone interview to talk about the position. She liked my attitude and moved me forward through the process. I had four other interviews with two STL's, DTL, and lastly the HR Market leader. If you make it to the HR Market leader you pretty much have the job. The key is to have a fun and outgoing attitude. Don't be nervous at all just be yourself. Everyone was very funny and welcoming which made the interviews easier to get through. There are a lot of situational questions asked. They might even be repeated in a future interview. It's ok to repeat the answer. Start with the problem, how you handled it, and what was the outcome. It's ok to have them repeat a question. Be prepared to talk about your past experience and education. You also want to be able to tell them why you want to work for Target.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

I was ok with what was offered which was more than I expected so I thought it was really good.
