Flow Team Member Interview

Flow Team Member
West Mifflin, PA

I applied online and the process took 4 days - interviewed at Target in July 2014.

Interview Details – I received a phone call within a day of applying for the jobs. When I arrived for my interview, I was asked to take a quick questionnaire on their computer system. The questionnaire has approximately 10-12 questions, some were math based and you had to use the graph provided to answer the questions. It was fairly easy and only took about 10 minutes. After completing it, I was asked to wait in the food court area until someone was available for the interview. I waited probably 10 minutes or so until she showed up. We went back into her office, which was very small. She had my folder that contained a print out of my application. We went over the hours I would be available and what the job entailed. I didn't think that this was one of the jobs I applied for, but continued the interview anyway. She had a booklet that contained questions that she asked me and she wrote down my responses. The first question she asked was "Why do you want to work for Target?" There were 3 other questions that had 3 parts to them: the problem, what I did, and the outcome. She once again recorded my answers. After completing those questions, she informed me that the person who hired for that department was off today and that I should expect a phone call within a day or so for either another interview or job offer.

Interview Question – What was sometime that you did your job above the expectations of the job?   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Target in June 2013.

Interview Details – First I applied on-line and waited for about 3 days then I called the store so that I could speak to a hiring manager. Then she set up an telephone interview with me. After my telephone interview I had a face to face interview. The interview questions were fairly easy. Then they told me all the positions they had available and I choose flow team because they were paid 8.25 and it was only 3 days a week mandatory. But I was able to cross train for cashier so I could pick up more hours

Interview Question – There was really no difficult qestions   Answer Question

LOGISTICS FLOW TEAM MEMBER Interview

I applied through other source and the process took 2 days - interviewed at Target in April 2010.

Interview Details – I had two interviews for a part time, over night position. The questions are focused on real life scenarios. Often times I wondered the relevance and how it pertains to the position I was actually interviewing for. When I was hired my training was moved around amongst various people. You basiecally have 2 weeks of training and then your off on your own. There is a 90 waiting period before you can take time off or accrue vacation.

Interview Question – There were often quesitons about how you helped a customer, but the position I applied to was overnight where I would not engage with any customers. I guess they were gauging if I was a friendly/helpful person.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – There was no negotiation. I needed a job at the time as I was in a transitional phase.

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Target in March 2014.

Interview Details – 2 Interviews, over the phone, and in person; with the manager over the position. It went very smoothly, and I had thought I had the job.

The Interviews where quite easy, but I would recommend following up to make sure you secure the position.

Interviewed at Target

Interview Details – The entire interview was a two part process: a phone interview and then an in-person interview. The phone interview was rather early in the morning and a couple of days later, they call you again and you go to the specific store you applied to for the in-person interview. Personally, i would have preferred to just do a single in-person interview.

Interview Question – The most difficult-to-answer question the interviewer asked was to describe the last time I was a part of a team, the assignment we were given, and how we accomplished that assignment.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Target in May 2014.

Interview Details – Santa rosa avenue target santa rosa CA.05/29/14 I applied online and a few days later i got a call to come in for an interview at 11 but to be there 10 minutes early since they close at 11. I went in for the interview and there were two parts, the first half with one person then the second with the manager. After they interviewed me they told me they would call me five days later. Five days later they called me in two days after that to come in for a meet n greet which is where I met with the HR. She gave me a conditional job offer at 9.50 an hour plus 1.00 for working night shift. The conditional part was that I go to LabCorps on Sonoma aveune and pass the drug(urine)test. They did not go into the bathroom with me and the process was quick and they were really nice people. Now I'm just waiting for a call for my orientation!

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Target in May 2014.

Interview Details – I applied online and within that week I got a call scheduling an interview for that Monday at the store...kinda surprised me at how fast it was.

Once arriving at Target I was questioned by a Target member (Why Target? Name an experience where you had to deal with a lot of things at once. Name a time where you went above and beyond someone's expectations. What are your strengths and weaknesses. Have you ever worked in retail?) and she would scribble my answers down as I spoke. Afterwards she made me watch a short video about the position I was applying for and then told me to go back out and wait for the head of the department to talk to me. The department head greeted me, brought me back to the same room I was originally in and asked me the some of the same questions as in the first interview along with "Are you still interested? Did you learn anything from the video? Do you think you're able to move boxes and move at quick pace?" in which he would scribble down my answers. It was very brief and both interviewers were extremely friendly which made me a lot more relaxed since it was my first job. After talking with him I waited shortly for the HR lady to talk to me in which she offered me a job, told me about my drug test I had to take, and that she'd call me for orientation.

She did say 7-10 days for an orientation call but it ended up being a little more than 2 weeks; I didn't call because I didn't really stress about it. But after the call for orientation, I spent 4 paid hours dressed up in red and khaki along with 5 other new members where we filled a bunch of paperwork, watched boring yet semi-entertaining training videos, and then took a tour of the store - my first day was two days after.

I've worked at Target for over a week now and it's tiring. Everyone is extremely nice though but just be sure you eat a good breakfast in the morning, don't mind running around the store on your feet, and learn as you go because it is a bit fast.

Interview Question – Name a time where you had multiple tasks due, what did you do.   Answer Question
