I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Target in May 2014.

Interview Details – Santa rosa avenue target santa rosa CA.05/29/14 I applied online and a few days later i got a call to come in for an interview at 11 but to be there 10 minutes early since they close at 11. I went in for the interview and there were two parts, the first half with one person then the second with the manager. After they interviewed me they told me they would call me five days later. Five days later they called me in two days after that to come in for a meet n greet which is where I met with the HR. She gave me a conditional job offer at 9.50 an hour plus 1.00 for working night shift. The conditional part was that I go to LabCorps on Sonoma aveune and pass the drug(urine)test. They did not go into the bathroom with me and the process was quick and they were really nice people. Now I'm just waiting for a call for my orientation!

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Target in January 2012.

Interview Details – I attended two interviews on the same night. They were held in the Starbuck's at the store I was interviewing for. I first interviewed with one of the overnight Team Leads. It was very laid back. He just asked me about the stuff on my resume/application.

Very soon after that (less than five minutes) I interviewed with the overnight Executive Team Leader (the big boss of overnight). It was pretty much the same. He asked me about past experiences, using my resume/application as a reference.

Both interviewers seemed pretty easy going people. I'm sure this would just depend on the management of your particular store.

I dressed in slacks, button-up shirt, and a tie and did not feel overdressed, although anything more would've certainly been over the top. There were other interviewers dressed less nicely than me who also received positions.

Someone in the store HR department called a few days later and offered me the position.

Interview Question – Probably the classic "What's you biggest weakness." Not really unexpected, but usually difficult.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – Same starting pay as everyone else. No negotiations.

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Target.

Interview Details – Everything went fairly well, initial contact was swift and the hiring manager was friendly and humorous during the interview. Unfortunately, I did not receive a follow up from the employer despite what I felt to be an excellent interview; but, I do understand that other candidates may have been just as qualified as myself. Wish I had made the cut!

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Target in June 2013.

Interview Details – The interview took place in two parts. I first had an interview with a general manager; the interview was a general interview for working at Target, not for a specific position. The second interview was with an overnight manager. As such, the interview was not until 10 pm, which was an odd experience.
Two days later I received a call with a job offer.

Interview Question – A woman is looking for shoes for her young child. There do not appear to be any shoes of a style that she likes on the rack in front of her. How do you proceed?   Answer Question

Interviewed at Target

Interview Details – Interview process was less than palatable. Man basically read questions off a packet of papers, and i knew right there that this wasn't the place for me. Hours they were offering were nowhere near sufficient, either. 12 hours a week won't feed the bulldog for someone who has student loans coming due. Either way, it was just extremely awkward.

Interview Question – Tell us about a problem you've solved.   Answer Question

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 4 weeks - interviewed at Target in June 2010.

Interview Details – Hiring was a joke. You will not get a call back unless you know somebody at the store and even then it's a crap shoot.

Interview Question – N/A they will ask you very basic questions. As long as you don't say anything like "this place sucks, but I need the money" you will be alright.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No negotiations, base pay was $8/hour -____________- take it or leave it.

I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Target in February 2012.

Interview Details – Manager was very friendly and professional, when I inquired about employment. After applying via web, an interview was offered by the overnight manager shortly after (one week). The interview went GREAT! The manager I met with was very cordial, and interested in my qualifications and experience. We also made some small talk about each others backgrounds which was very pleasant. They offered me the job at the end of the interview, and had to submit to a drug test within 2 days, which was no problem. I then was put on schedule to work 2 weeks later.

Interview Question – What is your reason for no longer attending secondary education?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – No negotiation
