This had to have been the best interview process I ever went through! First off, a woman at the HR Department had me take a questionnaire at one of the Kiosk, located at the front of the store. After I completed the short assessment, I went back to the HR Dept. and waited about 10 minutes. My first interview was with an extremely friendly woman-- she was so kind and had a fun, bubbly personality. She asked me a few questions (below) and then had me wait again for my second interview. My second began about 10 minutes later as well with a Team Leader who, like the first, was very friendly. The questions were VERY similar, which he addressed beforehand.
I have no job experience whatsoever, so my answers were based off of previous school years and family. It was GREAT-- he was able to relate to something I spoke of about my family, as well as something that happened at school. When you're able to get that personal bond, you know you're not alone and that problems happen to everyone. Both interviewers were amazing, and I'm so glad that I have the opportunity to work with them both.

Interview Details – I applied online and a few days later I got a call for an interview. I was to take an assessment first before my interview. I was interviewed by a manager which lasted for about ten minutes then waited fifteen minutes and was interviewed again by another manager who asked the same questions. Both interviews were quick, easy, and in a quiet conference room.

I appiied to Target via their web site on Tuesday, and got a call asking me for a 1:1 interview on Friday, which I accepted. The interview was scheduled for Monday at 2pm.
I went in and took a 20 minute personality test on a computer right before an employee greeted me. She then took me to their back room where the employees stay, and told me to that someone will be with me shortly. Fifteen minutes later another employee took me to a private room where she interviewed me. She asked questions based on the STAR method. After this first interview, I was again interviewed by another employee. She basically asked me the same questions, except some were slightly more difficult. Then she told me that the person who makes the hiring decisions is on vacation, and that I should be hearing from her when she comes back in a week.

Interview Details – I was taken into the floor manager's office because their Human Resources person was not available the day they scheduled for me to come. She asked a few questions that seemed repeatitive and irrelevent to my past work experience. See this was my first job interview and honeslty I wasn't sure what to expect but when the lady asked me "what was one thing a teacher always told me i should improve on was" well there was nothing I don't know how bad that lady was in school but i was perfectionist and didnt have an answer not to mention my teachers had too many students to nit pick. Overall I hated my interview in some hot little room being asked stupid questions....

Interview Details – I was contacted by phone to come in for an interview for a Starbuck's position or a back room position. Initially, I turned down the offer because I was planning on going away for some training, but later I decided not to go and when I called the company back they said they might have some cashiering positions available. I made an appointment to have my interview a few days later. I went in and went into the behind the scenes office area. I was told to sit and wait until someone came out to get me. I was told that I would be interviewed by two people. The first one came and got me and asked me questions like why did I want to work there and to give examples of certain situations I had been in like when I saw a someone struggling and helped them out, how I solved someone's complaint, what my availability was, that kind of stuff. After that, I did some more waiting and I filled out the assessment they gave me. Then the second person came to interview me. I was asked again why I wanted to work there and a few other questions. I was told to wait a third time and when another person came for me I was offered a job. Being hired is contingent upon a clean background check and passing a drug test within the next twenty-four hours. The company seemed very team-oriented. My advice is to be relaxed, they were pretty laid back about everything and just be honest and be yourself.

Interview Details – The hiring process starts from your application. Your called in for an interview based on the questionaire part of the app.. just answer the questions as professional as possible. I was interview by 2 separate people on the same day (later I found out that one of my interviewers was just an team member cashier) the types of questions they asked were.. tell me about a time when you to take responsibility for something you failed at?, tell me about a time when you did something nice for someone?, what are your weaknesses?, why did you pick Target? After both interviews I was told to sit in a room with other people that were being interviewed. Ten minutes later I was told I was one of the few who got the job they gave me the address & directions to the place I had to do my drug test & finger print, yes you have to drug test and they only give you 24hrs or you lose the job. After your done you just go home and wait to be called for training, it may take a few days or a few weeks (if u passed the drug test of course)

Interview Details – I applied to work seasonal (back to school: July-September) as a Floor Team Member/ Cashier. There was two interviews. The first was with a Leader on Duty (LOD). He had a packet of 4 questions and did not make me feel stressed during the interview. He let me come back to a question if I couldn't think of an answer. The questions were "Why do you want to work at target?", "Tell me about a time where you worked as a member of a team." and questions like that. Then you interview with the store manager/ human resources person and she asks you 4 similar questions. Then you go out and wait for her to call you back in and give you the offer. Pay is $8.25 (minimum wage in CT) and you have to take the test at a nearby clinic within 24 hours of the offer. My orientation wasn't for 2 more weeks, and they train all workers on the cashier, in case they need more cashiers, they can use anyone.

Interview Details – This was my first interview. I applied online and got called for an interview a few days later. The interview consisted mostly of "describe a time when you..." scenarios. I never had a job before so it was pretty hard to come up with answers so I mostly made stuff up. I was also asked why I wanted to work there. After my first interview I had a second immediately after. Asked the same questions and told me they would call if I got the job. A week later I got an email saying I didn't. I was very nervous and knew I had screwed it up from the beginning.
