I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Target in October 2014.

    Interview Details

The process took about 2 weeks. I applied on October 17th and received a call on the 18th to come in for an interview on that Tuesday. They asked me about my availability and experience and "why Target" I kind of stumbled with my answer which made me have doubt. I came in on that Tuesday and was told to take a Questionnaire. After that I was waiting to be interviewed and unfortunately they post-poned it until Friday. So I was starting to have doubt because I really studied for it. The interview on Friday was pretty smooth. Again I was asked about my availability and some scenario questions. Also "Why Target". In each interview they will ask you that so stick to what you said. I had 2 interviews altogether. The second interview is just another confirmation of your ability and like 3 more scenario's. If they are interested they will hire you on the spot. After that they do a background check and you should have orientation within a week if your background is clear. I did orientation this Saturday and my 1st official workday is tomorrow... Yay ^__^

Applied online, went in to check on the status of application. Given interview next day were i was asked very basic interview questions. Mostly situation questions. What you would do if certain things happened. Only downside was that I had to wait very long for my second interviewer, and I could hear her talking to a coworker in the back.

I applied online. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Target in October 2014.

    Interview Details

I was called for an interview about a week after filling out the online application for a seasonal sales floor job. The interview was scheduled for the next day. I arrived about 15 minutes early because I was told on the phone that I would have to fill out an online questionaire before my actual interview. The questionaire took about 10 minutes to fill out. After waiting for 15 minutes, a team leader led me back for the interview. She was pretty rude and it was obvious that she hadn't looked at my application at all. She wasn't pleased that I didn't have an retail experience and dismissed me after the first round of questions. There weren't any really difficult questions, but the interviewer didn't seem interested in what I had to say from the very beginning.

I was taken aback by my interviewers. First the guy did not have me down for the right job. Thought i was interviewing for the flow team. I did not apply to that position. Than asked their behavioral questions they asked everyone who interviews. It was a packet with questions. Than their were two more interviews. The second was unprofessional as they tried to push their credit card and app on me.I am glad I was not offered the position as the management team turned me off of target. I will not even shop their now as i see how they think about possible hires.

Applied the night before and got a call back the next morning. Total of three interviews... Yeah I know, Ridiculous! Went through the first two interviews but wasn't hired in the end. Such a waste of my time. The hiring managers were very nice and friendly though. They emailed me about a week later saying that try couldn't offer me the job, but thanks for my interest. Never again!

I applied to one specific location, but a different location got my info and called me to come to their job fair. I went there thinking they had my application, but I had to fill one out by hand. The first interview was more into how you are as a person. The interviewer asked me questions about myself and what I do in my free time. I made it to the second interview with 2 managers each asking me more formal "experience" questions. I made the mistake of not being specific in my answers because I felt like I was being rushed. I think they score you in each question from 1-10 and if you score high enough, you'll get hired.

Interview was easy, basic interview questions such as what are you strengths and weaknesses, what you would do if an item rang up as a different price than what the customer said was posted (you take the customer's word for it), when was a time where you made a mistake and what did you do, and so on.

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at Target.

    Interview Details

I applied online, which included a lengthy questionnaire. After I had a very basic phone interview about customer service experience I was asked to come in and interview in-store. The store team-lead himself ended up interviewing me instead of who was supposed to do so. He actively sought to upset me in the interview and asked a lot of hypothetical questions about difficult situations with customers. He also threw around a lot of numbers which he said backed up his assertions. Then five minutes later he would argue from the completely opposite spectrum.

    Interview Questions
    • There were quite a few hypothetical situations, the worst was one about a guest who actively tried to pay 2 dollars less for an item and how much money it would lose the store if you gave her 2 dollars off an item or if you made her pay the full amount. The situation was taken way to the extreme, including giving everyone off two dollars and how social media plays a role in commerce.   View Answer

I applied online. The process took 5 daysinterviewed at Target.

    Interview Details

Applied online, and the very next day I got a call from the assistant manager. He asked me a few questions like "Why would you like to work for Target," "Why did you apply for the sales floor position," and "Are you available to work holidays and weekends?" He then told me what I would be making an hour, and scheduled me for an interview a few days later.

On Interview day, they had me sit at a computer and take an assessment, which consisted of "What would you do if" questions and math problems. Not long after that an employee led me to an empty room and had my interview. Questions were mainly like the phone interview, along with questions relating to guest service and working under pressure. After the interview, I was led to another room to talk about drug testing and payrate. Needless to say, I got the job. As long as you are calm and confident, you will do fine.
