I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Teach for America in June 2009.

Interview Details – The initial interview is to determine cultural fit and has nothing to do with your skills, experience or ability to do the job. You need to demonstrate that you emulate their core values. The questions were still pretty traditional, but instead of using the STAR formate to describe how you handled a situation you should tell them how your actions demonstrate their core values. I found this very difficult, as is evident by the fact that I did not make it beyond this first round of interviews.
