I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific in August 2015.

    Interview

It was OK I guess. They came out to get me to begin the interview and were over 30 mins late. She said they were in a meeting so why schedule an interview at the same time I don't know. Anyway we began the interview and are joined by someone else so its like a tag team interview. I got two different vibes from both women and it just made it awkward when one is smiling and more personal and the other stares at you stone faced. So that continues for an about 30 to 45 mins. Then I'm put in a room for a 2 minute very simple typing test and pass with a 96% . Never heard back from them at all which I felt was unprofessional. They could have at least let me know they decided to go with other candidates. Oh well just wanted to share my experience. Much better opened up for me about a week later thank God!

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

    Interview

I got contacted with a recruiter first and after a couple of weeks, got an onsite interview. The whole process was very smooth but the downside was although the recruiter was aware that I will need visa sponsorship in future, she sent me for onsite interview (everything paid by myself) so I assumed the sponsorship is not an issue any more. When I got my rejection email, she explained that sponsorship was not approved for this position. It was really disappointing!

    Interview

The HR managers were extremely professional and friendly. I never felt out of the loop at any instance and expectations were clear. The interviewing process from initial contact about setting up a phone interview to in-person interview and hearing back about a potential offer or not was fast. The 2 weeks it took to get a call after applying was the slowest part. Behavioral phone call interview that lasts 25~30 minutes. It is the typical interview in every way at this point. I strongly suggest downloading a top 50 or 100 interview questions and answering them before you have your phone interview. They asked (2) "easy" questions to get you calm before asking harder questions. Relax! HR are trying to make you feel comfortable! Next stage was an in-person interview that was 3x 30 minute individual interviews with team lead, team lead of a department the position would work closely with, and the senior manager of both departments. Each interviewer has a single focus for their questions and again they tell you up front and make the expectations known. Not any significant technical questions, all behavioral/personal experiences which I thought was odd. Good luck!

    Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Waltham, MA) in April 2015.

    Interview

    1. Applied online 2. HR Recruiter contact about a month later. --- Typical phone screening, asking why you are looking, what skills you have, salary expectations, etc. 3. First phone interview with Director of HR. -- about 2 weeks after initial screening. -- Typical HR questions. Same as #2 above. 4. On-site with 3 Directors of various finance orgs. -- about a week after HR Director -- Enjoyed talking to all three. Typical questions and a few required "tell me a time when..." questions. 5. Phone interview with VP of Finance --about 2 weeks after on-site. -- Quick chat with the VP -- Same typical interview as above. ex. Tell me about yourself, why do you want to move, what do you offer. I enjoyed talking to all the directors and really wanted to work for the company. HR was unresponsive. I called and emailed them about a week after the VP interview to see if they decided to go with another candidate or are still evaluating. No response what so ever. Sent a follow up a week later, no follow-up. I did invest hours of my time interviewing, so I felt a courtesy call was in order, especially after I politely requested status.
