Declined Offer – Interviewed in Cleveland, OH – Reviewed Apr 29, 2013
Interview Details – Applied for the position online after meeting with representatives at a career fair. Received a call from a recruiter about two months later to setup a phone interview with HR. Phone was a few days later had standard questions, mostly reviewing my resume. I received notification of being called for an onsite interview. I was flown to the Cleveland branch office where I met with six individuals, all somewhere in the actuary track. The first four were primarily behavioral with standard interview questions (i.e. how do you solve a problem with a group member etc.). The day ended with a two on one lunch interview, relaxed and casual.

Interview Details – Dropped resume on career center website, and was contacted several days later to schedule an on campus interview. Standard behavioral interview with questions about past experiences, resume, etc...About 45 minutes long, pretty straightforward. It was my first interview, so I was extremely nervous, even though the interviewer was extremely nice.

Interview Details – Phone interview about two months prior to being offered a final office interview. Very easy office interview I thought, mostly just went over my resume with three different senior analysts and talked with other younger employees over lunch in the conference room. Ask basic interview questions: An example when you took initiative, what you know about the company, what made you want to become an actuary, etc. Was my first professional interview and I'm glad it wasn't anything to worry about too much, didn't try to poke my brain at all with case study or behavioral questions.

Interview Details –
First I was interviewed for about a half an hour by a human resources representative. I was contacted about a week later to come in for an in office interview, for which transportation and a hotel were provided by the company. The interview process lasted about 6 hours and included an informational session, 3 half an hour 1:1 interviews, a group lunch with other interviewees and recent hires and ended with a question and answer session. The interviews varied with one being very relaxed and unscripted and one being very formal with an expectation that I had come with LOTS of questions prepared. The other was in between.
I was called with an offer about a week after the interview.
Interview Question – Do you have any more questions? After an informational session and two 1:1 interviews I had an interviewer who gave next to no feedback and kept asking me if I had any more questions. Answer Question
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Chicago, IL Nov 2010 – Reviewed Apr 4, 2011
Interview Details – Two rounds: first spoke with a recruiter over the phone and then was invited in for a super day. Phone interview was pretty basic...seemed to just be screening out the outliers. Super day was great--everyone was very personable and asked mostly behavioral/ethical questions. Took me out to dinner the night before to a very nice restaurant.
