I applied online - interviewed at US Department of State in June 2014.

Interview Details – Lengthy interview and they dont get to tell you where you went wrong. Funny that they decide a pass or fail, and just hand you a letter....worst kind of interview.

Interview Question – They asked me why I wanted the job and why I feel suited for the position. I wouldn't want the job if I had not taken the time to avail myself for the interview!!   View Answer

Interview Question – Typical behavior based interview questions for the SI portion. The Group Exercise was challenging due to the limited time and cramped spaces to work.   Answer Question

The process took 4 months - interviewed at US Department of State in March 2010.

Interview Details – 9-10 month process, but once you schedule your oral assessment test, it is approximately a 3-4 month process. Group exercise stresses cooperation and being able to follow directions and complete the task on time. Case management is relatively difficult, exercise stresses time management and ability to wade through lots of irrelevant material and boil the facts down. Individual interview fairly standard, probably the easiest part.

I applied online and the process took 5 months - interviewed at US Department of State in June 2009.

Interview Details – Lots of post on Oral Assesment elsewhere. It consists of a group excercise, a one on one interview, and a written assignment.
