No interview process. There are recruiters that constantly look for people to sign up but the interview process is really just physical, background check and ASVAB test. I can't say there is actually a legitimate hiring and interview process. The Marine Corps has tightened with it's requirements that need to be met to be eligible to enlist.

Had to go through a back-ground check, arduous physical, a lot of paperwork, and waiting time to go to boot camp. MEPS was horrible. Felt like cattle waiting in every line.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at US Marine Corps in September 2014.

Interview required quite an extensive amount of paperwork as does every billet/re-enlistment/extension etc. It's a tricky process as Marines are taunted with "meritorious promotions" as a way to lure them into sticking around. misrepresentation of the benefits. There are multiple boards throughout the year that Marines are afforded the opportunity to be apart of.

recruiters makes the process easy. There's a enlistment test to determine what jobs you qualify for. A physical exam, a back ground check, and an education check. You then enlist into the delayed entry program until you go to boot camp, then after boot camp you go to the school that teaches you to do the job you will have.

depending on government budget and the recruiters qouta your the one being given the sale pitch...if it sounds too good to be true, then it is. get the promises in writing and amongst all things if you dont score great for the job you want then refuse to sign, you have no obligation and dont be a little girl and let their intimidation threaten you

If your in moderate physical shape, in high school, and play sports, your golden. This kind of person will less likely fail the initial strength test, have less to distract him/her i.e. drugs, alcohol, free time (think a kid needs to focus on graduating, listening to there parents, ect. ect.) sports keeps them grounded in school as well.

Is that a bad thing? Well, that depends on your reasons for considering a military enlistment. If you have a strong desire to kill the enemy, the Marine Corps is for you because that is what the Marines do. Either you want that or you don’t, plain and simple. If you simply want a challenge, any other branch of the military will provide you with plenty of opportunities to test yourself. Army Rangers and Green Berets, Air Force Pararescue Jumpers, and the Navy Seals all offer extreme physical and mental challenges outside of the Marine Corps. So if you are considering joining the Marine Corps, think long and hard about what that means before going to a recruiter and signing up.”
