Interview

Interview process was very straight forward with no curve balls or anything. The recruiters were very easy to talk to and made the whole process very smooth. Most of the questions they asked were about my resume, past work experience and behavioral based questions. They also asked a few questions based on basic supply chain knowledge.

All on-campus interviews. First one behavioral. Second one more technically based. Know your resume really well and be able to answer questions regarding leadership, collaboration, and the basic skills. Use the STAR model to respond to questions. Have fun, be yourself. They like personality.

I applied through other source. The process took 8 weeksinterviewed at Unilever in December 2012.

    Interview

I was invited to a conference hosted by Unilever for a student organization which I was a part of. I handed my resume and a business card during a network event there. About two weeks later a recruiter called to schedule an interview. I went through a 45 minute phone interview with a director and an analyst later that week. Was then called in to the local office for a 60 minute interview with the plant manager and the logistics manager as the position involved a local plant rotation. I was given an offer about two weeks later.

    Interview Questions

    • Was given a business case which involved arranging for cost effective transportation options for essential finished goods from one part of the supply chain to another.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

Did not negotiate because the benefits (housing stipend) and base was within my expectations.

I applied through college or university. The process took a dayinterviewed at Unilever (Englewood Cliffs, NJ) in September 2012.

    Interview

Unilever came to my university's career fair in Spring of 2012. I talked to a representative about the opportunities that existed in supply chain. After a few minutes, she asked for my availability for a next day interview, and it was immediately scheduled. I showed up to the on-campus interview the next day, and was placed in front of 2 interviewers for an hour long interview process. They started with behavioral questions and one situational question. At the end, they asked for a preference in location, which depends on your job specifications. The next day, I received a phone call with a verball offer, and then a few days later, an email with more details.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

No negociation, they provide you a stipend for housing, and a monthly salary.

    Interview

Very quick & easy way to get a position, either in the SCMP or co-op program, is to talk to recruiters at Career Fairs. Often times they do interviews for these positions the very next day. Interviews are usually with one or 2 people, and are fairly standard interviews.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

They extended an offer and I had a couple weeks to decide if I wanted to accept or not.

I applied through college or university. The process took a dayinterviewed at Unilever (Englewood Cliffs, NJ) in November 2010.

    Interview

The phone interview was very simple.. Behavior based and the interviewer asked questions about Unilever such as how familiar are you with Unilever... It was more or less them explaining to me what Unilever is all about.. After that was done, he asked a couple of behavior questions such as, what would you do if you were the leader of an incompetent team.

    Interview Questions

    • How would you lead an incompetent team?   1 Answer
    • What are some of the reasons why our product is not on the shelf at a store?   1 Answer

    Negotiation

No negotiation allowed.. Keep your options open.. don't accept offers right away. When you're a co-op unilever pays about 16-18 per hour depending on your seniority level. Even though they do pay per hour, think of it as a a salary position. More than likely, you will work more than 40 hours a week and you will not get paid for more than 37.5 hours a week.

Overall it's a great learning experience.

    Interview

Got the interview via an oncampus career fair. Only 1 round of interviews, was the day after I talked to them at their booth, and was on-campus. It is behavioral based, so brainstorm key situations you have been in. Googling the STAR methodology and questions to prep will help you for the interview.

    Interview Questions

    • Unfortunately, I don't remember the questions as the interview was several years ago, but they were pretty standard.

A question you can almost always expect to have that is challenging is "Tell me about a situation in which you had to deal with a difficult teammate."

      1 Answer

    Negotiation

Negotiated to have more time to decide. The initlal decision period was 1-2 weeks, during which I still had more interviews lined up and wasn't comfortable making a decision.
