Management Trainee
Bangalore (India)

I applied through college or university and the process took 2 days - interviewed at Unilever.

Interview Details – It was an on campus recruitment which started with an online application submission, followed by group discussion, a team activity and 2 rounds of interviews. There was shortlisting after the application submission and the group/team rounds.

Done quite professionally. They tend to like young grads vs people wiht more experience and prefer women.

The interview rounds allow you to make your point with the interviewer focused more on listening.

Interview Question – They check creativity and application of learning to live problems. Expect short marketing caselets and some off beat situations.   Answer Question

I applied through college or university and the process took a day - interviewed at Unilever in April 2012.

Interview Details – Unilever conducted a Written Reasoning Test on site the University Campus ( Lahore School of Economics). After around 1 month they sent me an email that i have been shortlisted for their one to one interview.Later they scheduled me for a 1:1 interview through email. But one day before my interview they sent me an email that my interview has been cancelled and i will be contacted later. After two days i agaiin received an email about the reschuduled interview. The interview was not that tough , 1 week later they sent me a rejection email and asking me to apply next year. The interview seemed to be biased about my no experience , but overall i would say that it was learning experience for me.

I applied online and the process took 3 months - interviewed at Unilever in February 2009.

Interview Details – I was accepted to Unilever management interview process which has 4 rounds for myself,
Everything went well. the first step is the exam pass. I passed the exam which include English, Logic and Math exam.

The second round is the case study issue problem that I had to analyze and suggest the solution then at the same day I have an interview with 3 persons which is marketing persons and I passed the interview.

Then the third one consist of group business discussion with another candidates and lastly I had to talk with 10 persons which is the executives from Unilever.

I was very excited and I believe that I would pass for sure.
Then I got the phone call that I passed to work for the R&D in the company and I have to have health check at hospital which everything went well..

Then 1 week later, they call me to have another interview and then I was declined for some reasons.
Which i checked with my friends inside. she mention that the company don't want to have R&D position anymore. which is disappointing experience and waste time..
