    Truck Driver Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate
    Accepted Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at United Natural in July 2012.

    Interview

I interviewed with 2 people, both of whom were gone within a year of my hire. They called me several times before doing an in-person interview. The interview itself was fairly straightforward. They did over-promise a lot, however. Their were no extra Smith System training certifications and once hired, the promised work-life balance was out the window.

    Interview Questions

    • Why do you want to work here? Difficult because I was making several dollars more an hour with the job I had already when I interviewed.   1 Answer

    Negotiation

There was no negotiation. They also insisted I not give two weeks notice. I did anyway and still got the job.

    Second Shift Warehouse Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Greenwood, IN
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at United Natural (Greenwood, IN) in June 2012.

    Interview

I was given a phone screen by the HR manager at the time and she then passed me on to a phone call with the GM. That call was short as I was asked to come in for a face to face with him as well as the First Shift Warehouse Manager in a separate meet. Most of the interview questions were behavioral based questions which are answered easily if you have the past experience.

    Interview Questions

    • I was asked if I had and hands on budgeting experience, which I did not. I had accountability for a department but not necessarily the line item of the budget. Here I would be paying for my supervisor salaries as well as the hourly wages and overtime. I would also be purchasing all clothing for the freezer personnel.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I was able to negotiate vacation time with my offer. I also was given relocation and 3 months hotel stay while searching for a house.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at United Natural (Chesterfield, NH) in April 2012.

    Interview

It was 2 interviews and I received an offer the day of my second interview. After agreeing to the offer there was a background check and a drug test (offsite testing) The interviews were no very tough, they are getting tougher from what I hear now as there is a lot of growth now and the managers and directors are looking for more specifically qualified applicants.

    Interview Questions

    • Can you handle fast changing environments?   1 Answer

    Negotiation

It only took two calls to get a deal done.

    Warehouse Associate Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at United Natural (Rocklin, CA) in February 2010.

    Interview

Interview process was quick and easy, received job offer right away, but it took almost 2 months to start as they were waiting on my background check. It finally came through clear, but the screening process from offer to start was ridiculous.

    Negotiation

No negotiation, they offer the same base salary everyone gets regardless of experience. You take it or you decline, but they refuse to increase.
