    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Vail Resorts (Salt Lake City, UT) in February 2015.

    Interview

Standard - spoke with the hiring manager. We had a very standard interview where she asked me about my experience, organizational skills, asked for situational information. It took about two weeks from the time i submitted my application until i heard from the hiring manger. After that, it was only a few days before I heard from her then was able to begin the phone interview process. After the phone interview was complete, it took about another week to ten days to hear the outcome of the interview.

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Vail Resorts (Broomfield, CO) in January 2015.

    Interview

Was given initial interview, then told I would have second. Instead, was just offered job; although, this was done by the recruiter and not the hiring manager. Process was kind of unclear, but simple overall. Sometimes takes awhile between application and interview. Very friendly, focused on company values and work-life balance.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Vail Resorts in December 2014.

    Interview

I originally applied for another job in the accounting department, but after it was filled, a recruiter talked with me about other available positions that would complement my skills and experience. Later on, I had a phone interview with the same recruiter, and then about a week later, I got an email requesting me to schedule an in person interview with my future boss. After I had my in person interview, my interviewer basically told me I had the job unless something "weird" came up in my reference check. I gave my references a heads up about her contacting them, and I had an offer letter in my inbox less than 48 hours after the interview.

    Interview

My experience consisted of: 1 interview with the hiring manger, 1 full-day of interviews, and then 1 follow-up phone interview. There was a strong emphasis on collaboration and cultural fit.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeksinterviewed at Vail Resorts (Park City, UT) in November 2014.

    Interview

Pretty straightforward. I was contacted about 2 weeks after I applied, went through a very brief phone screening/interview, and was scheduled to come in for an in-person interview the following week. At the in-person interview, the hiring manager confirmed the salary ($10/hr), but didn't mention that my hours would fluctuate, depending on the time of the season. This meant that my paycheck took a huge hit when my hours were suddenly cut a month before the season ended, and I basically had to quit early to find another job.

    Interview

The interview process was really easy. Applied for the position online, and received a phone call within 2 weeks and came in for an in person interview the following week. The manager was very welcoming and laid back. It was very easy to talk to him and the interview felt like having a good conversation with a friend.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Vail Resorts (Keystone, CO).

    Interview

Applied online through VR job website.
Received a screen interview from corporate recruiter.
Was given wrong compensation information for position (by $22K!)
Passed along for phone interview with hiring manager. Standard behavioral questions.
Was called to do a face to face a day after the interview.
Came in for a face to face - met with hiring manager and then department.
The interview was very informal. No one had reviewed my resume before hand so questions were pretty simple - i.e. tell us about your experience, why do you want to work here... nothing that was challenging.
Was offered the job the following week via phone call.

Interviewer attire was mountain casual - jeans, button downs, snow boots. So keep that in mind when getting dressed - no suits! And if interviewing in the winter, you'll most likely be walking through snow so wear appropriate footwear.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

They don't negotiate much beyond a thousand or two. They push the benefit of living in a mountain town and the once in a lifetime experience as offsetting a higher pay.
