Initial interview is conducted through an talent acquisitions manager through the phone. Most questions are basic, and are reasonably typical: tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer and how you resolved the problem, tell me about yourself, etc. Then they ask you to do a role play sales, generally they provide the information prior to the interview.

Standard list of questions that are read and answers written down. Very mechanical. Lost of tell me about a time when scenario questions. Seems they are looking for specific workd, phrases, or feedback, but you as an interviewie have no idea what it is. You may have experienced, and did it, but the questions are so open, you may miss it in discussion, and they don't ask for it...

2 step interview process. First call last about 1hr and consists of the basics and some sales role play. They schedule you right then for the second if you make it. Rigorous checks into former employees. Roughly 30 min of interview spent going over details of former employers. The second is similar to the first only lasting about 20-30 min.

I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Verizon Wireless in December 2014.

    There were two rounds.
    1. Phone interview, mainly checking to see if you're normal. There were few questions about why a Verizon position would interest you plus confirming job preferences IT or engineering.
    2. On site, two rounds behavioral and technical. The technical interview was pretty behavioral in nature, but involved you talking about your coding experience in more detail and what branch of Verizon they could put you in.

    Interview Questions
    • For the technical interview, know where in Verizon you want to work i.e mobile development etc. Talking about accomplishments on your resume that can help you with the branch you're seeking is important to them.   Answer Question

Hi Guys! I just wanted to know if you guys you have been interviewed by Verizon know if I am going to the 2nd step or not. I don't think so :( but I was just wondering after reading so many reviews.
My interview lasted for about 20-25 mins. I read from others who has gotten the assessment test that once they are done with the interview, the recruiter will most likely tell them the next step process which is the test. My interviewer did not tell me that part and instead told me that I will be given a notice for the next step by email or phone in 7 days or less. :(. I really thought I aced this but I guess I didn't, maybe it's because I currently work for AppleCare? either way did anyone get the same reply and and got the 2nd offer of a test even without being told on the phone they will be moving to next step of the test?
PS I explained to the interviewer that I am in school which is near the center and she told me if I was offered the job is best to readjust my classes because of training? I am really confused and just want to know if I should just keep looking for other call center jobs?\
