Sales Associate Interview

Sales Associate
Sarasota, FL

I applied in-person and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Victoria's Secret Stores.

Interview Details – Normally, it is a group interview. But all you really need to do to knock it out of the park of show a big smile, interest in everything the interviewer is saying. Ask questions, and you must be a friendly people-person. Friendly people sell the best.

Oh, and come in dressed professionally. Normally our dress code is to wear all black. If you come in wearing sweat pants (knowing from seeing this happen), as soon as the interview is done, they will throw away your application.

Interview Question – Usually the only questions they ask you is what happened in your previous jobs. And they WILL call to find out, and they will call your references.   Answer Question

Sales Support Associate Interview

I applied in-person and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Victoria's Secret Stores in May 2014.

Interview Details – Filled out an application and turned it in. The employee who I turned it in to asked a couple questions (why do you want to work here? What's your favorite product?) and then set up an interview date. It was a group interview with one other girl.
I went to the store on the day of the interview and the interviewer (who was pretty young) myself, and one other girl went to the food court where the interview was held. It was kind of informal, she asked a few questions like what is good customer service to you? What was your last experience bra shopping like? If you saw an employee stealing toilet paper, how would you handle it?
I thought I did really well at the interview, maybe a little awkward, but I answered the questions well. I didn't end up getting the job and I was kind of disappointed...

Replenishment Associate Interview

I applied in-person and the process took 4 days - interviewed at Victoria's Secret Stores in October 2013.

Interview Details – Interview day I went into the store where I was greeted by more waiting interview-ies in the beauty and make-up department. We went to the mall cafeteria and gathered seats around tables. It was a group interview as you could have guessed by now. It started with round table "get to know each other" discussions. Then it led job related questions, not round table, so not everyone got to give an answer.

Management Interview

Management
Tallahassee, FL

I applied online - interviewed at Victoria's Secret Stores in April 2014.

Interview Details – Submitted a resume and application for the store manager position of a newly opening store. Received a call almost two months later for an interview with the regional manager flying in to conduct interviews. When arrived at the interview, I am introduced to the regional manager and the newly hired store manager who had already been hired via Skype. After introductions, I am asked to talk about myself and nothing about work experience since that would come afterwards. Then I am asked to describe my work experiences from the last few years. During the interview, the store manager that is supposed to be assisting in finding the remaining management members, is staring off at the ceiling and anything else in the room. She was extremely unprofessional in not giving the attention to me, which I highly disliked. The regional manager and I worked for the same company at one time, so I was discussing my experience with that company and explaining how in depth I had become in the new processes introduced to stores, and whenever I would turn to the manager to include her in the questions, she was looking at something else. (Coming from a store manager position with years of experience, even if I didn't like a candidate, I would still give them my attention out of courtesy. At the worst, I would act like I am taking notes in order to still seem engaged.) After the main questions, I asked what I was being interviewed for since the manager position had already been filled. Then the interview was over. Felt very rushed, even though I was the first interviewer of the day. They also said they were in a time crunch to hire due to the store opening the next month, and the only person hired so far was the store manager.

Interview Question – Nothing difficult. Extremely simple interview.   Answer Question
