I applied through an employee referral - interviewed at Visa Inc. in March 2014.

Interview Details – Relaxed and long process. 4 interviews in total. They look for people that fit with their culture and are able to perform without supervision. I met with direct manager, talent acquisition and group peers

Business Leader Interview

Business Leader

Interviewed at Visa Inc.

Interview Details – The hiring manager took the diligence to contact me and get to know my strength and experience. This is rare and most hiring managers didn't get the opportunity to do so because HR won't let it happen. You can't relax unless you already knew these people. This trumps diversity and you're expected to manage upwards. If you can please the top guy, then you shouldn't have any problem in getting hired.

Interview Question – The interview process is not about understanding your ability, but more to see if you can be a fit. That's a challenge unless you already know "how" to speak up. I was asked for an experience that is not listed in the job description, which is generic and vague to begin with, and no wonder I was not qualified. They also make you meet with several stakeholders and partners though it only matters if the top guy says "yes" so it's kind of a waste of time. Find someone via linkedin before interview so you can be prepared to see who you're dealing with.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Visa Inc. in April 2014.

Interview Details – I interviewed online mid-April and received a call from Human Resources the end of April. I was emailed to interview the next morning and two phone interviews the following week. By the end of the 1st 1:1 interview I was alerted by their system that the position had been filled. Then I recieved a call stating that the position was closed the night before. There was a major disconnect or they did not want to tell me that I did not make it to the next round of interviews which had already been scheduled.

Interview Question – No unexpected questions.   View Answer

I applied online and the process took 5 months - interviewed at Visa Inc..

Interview Details – Very slow hiring process (might take several months) and numerous interviews. If a person is employed, it makes it hard to be excused so many times from current work.

Senior Business Analyst Interview

I applied online and the process took 2+ months - interviewed at Visa Inc. in January 2014.

Interview Details – HR contacted for initial screening. Had a 1:1 interview with the hiring manager after a few weeks. Heard back after 2 weeks that I am being invited for in-person interview on campus. A total of 6 people from the team interviewed me. Everyone sounded very positive. Hiring manager informed that I would know within 2 weeks. What was ridiculous was I never heard either ways even after 5-6 weeks. I followed up with the HR and hiring manager several times. The worst was that they kept telling me they were interested but never made an offer. Extremely slow. HR seems a little clueless as to what the next steps are. They are not prompt in responding. From my experience the whole experience took more than 10 weeks and still I dont have an answer. Decided to pursue another offer in hand.
