I went to a 'job fair' at one of the stores, and filled out an application. Then I was given a timed math test. I interviewed with a total of 4 people over 2 days. Two were general managers from stores in the area, followed by an interview with the territory director, and on the second day I was called in to interview with the general manager of the store I wished to work at. Then came the background check/drug test.

where you apply isnt necessarily the store you will work at. After you interview with one GM, then you have to do a second interview with another GM at another store. I was put on the spot on my sales technique. Background and drug test required. Come dressed in black and white with blazer, similar to what current employees wear

    Application Details

I applied online – interviewed at Visionworks in May 2009.

    Interview Details

I applied on line to be a sales associate. Interviewed once and was hired. Worked my way to third key fairly quickly. After one year of being a third key I interviewed for retail supervisor position and was turned down. 6 months later I reapplied for retail supervisor and interviewed once in person with RVP. and then then had phone interview with T.D. I was given retail supervisor position. Within 6 months I made G.M.

    Interview Questions
    • I don't think any of the questions were difficult. They were all basic business questions.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
There was no negotiation of my salary to take the G.M. Position. I was told that for the store I would be taking over my salary would start at 31,800. I would have actually made MORE money staying a retail supervisor and making commission.

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Visionworks.

    Interview Details

Interview was ok. But after five or six days, general mgr. of my store had not gotten back to me, so I called her. She seemed annoyed that I called, simply to ask if she had hired anyone yet. Finally she called me after almost two weeks and told me I was hired but I had to wait about six more days until I was able to start the job! I had desired to start several days earlier, as I needed the income a.s.a.p. and I was excited about the new job!

    Negotiation Details
I was left with no room to negotiate, but I believe the hourly wage was fair.
