I applied online. The process took a dayinterviewed at W. R. Grace in July 2010.

    Interview Details

Interviewed with three employees. Two interviewers were conversational and easy. The third used the prescribed script from Grace and the questions came across oddly. The use of a temporary agency meant that the position wasn't direct to hire. A tour of the facility followed the first interviewer.

    Interview Questions
    • What was your favorite chemistry class in school and why?   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
Non-existent as it was through a temporary agency and they would not ask for higher.

The process took a dayinterviewed at W. R. Grace in May 2010.

    Interview Details

The Grace interview for the summer internship position was relatively straight forward. I applied via a Grace posting on my college's job site. I was invited to the Curtis Bay site for four rounds of interviews in one day. After first meeting briefly with an HR person who described the interview process, I had 4 one-on-one interviews. 2 with principal engineers, one with the head of the development center, and one with a different HR person. The interviews were all easy. Just questions like "why do you want to work at Grace" and "why do you want to be a chemical engineer" and "describe a time where you had to deal with failure". The majority of the interviews were about my resume.

Approached by recruiting agent, 2 interviews: The first was conversational and based on my CV and experience, the second was more technical but still conversational and relaxed. My overall impression so far is that they are well organised, relaxed and friendly. I was even impressed by the HR lady.. :)

The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at W. R. Grace in May 2010.

    Interview Details

The interview process is quite longer than usual. I already had undergone 4 separate interviews in separate schedules, that already includes the panel interview and then there's another one after that. i'm not sure if that's already the final. Well, the questions where pretty harder than usual especially in the panel interview. One qustion was " what criteria will you use if you were to choose someone to get promoted among your subordinates? Well, its really good if you have read or gone through audiobooks for leadership series and personal achievement. during those hours, you need to speak positive and intelligent view in every situational questions they throw at you.
