ASMt Interview (Negative Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied online and the process took 6 weeks - interviewed at Walgreens in June 2013.
Interview Details – Apply online, in-store "proctored" test, group interview with CommLeader and dist manager. Follows a structured "tell me a time..." interview. Your answers are largely irrelevant if you can lie and follow the rubric they use. I always do bad on these types of interviews, and ultimately fron upon them. Also one of the slowest hr processes ever.
Interview Question – Name a time when you had to motivate an employee who was not doing his/her job? Answer Question
Very Easy Interview
Service Clerk Interview (Positive Experience; Very Easy Interview)
I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Walgreens in September 2011.
Interview Details – I was contacted by an Assistant Store Manager to come in for an interview. The interview was pleasant enough. However, it was apparent that the interviewer had not looked over my application and resume because she wanted to offer me a position starting at $7.50 an hour with over 10 experience in retail as an Assistant Store Manager.
During the questioning she realized my retail experience and said she would not feel comfortable with me taking the position because I was overqualified for the part-time position she was trying to hire for. I told her I felt the same way and would not be taking the position. She then asked why I had not applied for a management position and I told her I had. She asked if I would mind if she passed an application on to a hiring manager for a possible Assistant Manager position. I told her that would be great and THANKS!
Interview Question – Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a difficult customer and what was the outcome. Answer Question
Walgreens Assistant Manager Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through college or university and the process took a day - interviewed at Walgreens in August 2009.
Interview Details – I was interviewed by the Store Manager and 2 more managers. They asked a series of behavioral questions such as case-situation scenarios. Example: what would you do if a employee has an argument with a client?. Also they asked me about my strengths and weaknesses and give an example.
Interview Question – Why should we hire you? Answer Question
