    Application

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at Walmart (Lancaster, SC) in June 2014.

    Interview

Interview was done over the phone by the store manager and a co manager, though standard procedure would be done by the market human resource manager. I was asked questions based on competencies such as judgment, customer service, adaptability, planning and improvement, diversity, etc. They asked a question for each topic then the store manager may ask any other probing questions like experience for position. Then they ask my questions concerns. He said he would let me know who he picked by the end of the week and he called me back that same day and offered me the job

    Negotiation

    Interview

Interview consists of a number of competency-based questions which are prewritten by the home office. The interview will be done by three store managers (or similar level) and there is supposed to be no variation from the prewritten questions. The beginning will be a free-flow sort of "get to know you" part which may involve more personal or general interest questions.

    Interview Questions

    • All fairly normal. They expected specific case examples, be as detailed as possible and include a resolution or "how did it all work out" ending.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

No negotiation. You take it or leave it.

I applied online – interviewed at Walmart.

    Interview

Takes a long time to be hired as a manager, so don't apply unless you're willing to wait. It takes 3 interviews, 1 with a Store Manager and 2 with HR. I applied in March of 2008, had my first interview in June and started in November. I never met a single person from the company until the day I started work. Everything was done over the phone.

    Application

I applied through college or university – interviewed at Walmart in May 2014.

    Interview

I left my resume with them at a job fair with the school I graduated from. I heard back from them approximately two months later. They were very friendly and informative in the interview process. They accommodated the interview to work around my current employer. The only thing I would have liked was to hear back from them even though I didn't get the job.

    Interview Questions

    • The question was worded in a way I didn't understand. The basic question was how do you go about accomplishing a task if there is no priority to the order that it gets done.   1 Answer

    Interview

questions are very long, all the care about is that you answer them using the STAR method, listen very carefully first time question is asked then ask them to repeat questions so you have more time to think of an appropriate answer (you will not be docked for this and you will come across a lot smarter with thorough answers)

    Interview Questions

    • give an example of a time you had to deal with a controversial situation, what was the situation, who did you involve, how did you go about it, what was the outcome, what information did you use to make a decision what if anything would you do different in the future   Answer Question
