I applied online – interviewed at Waste Management in August 2013.
I had a phone interview, went well. So I was set up with a second interview with a district manager. I thought went well. They told me that they will get back to me the next week and let me know their choice. They did and gave a excuse that the manage was out on business meetings. And that they will get back to me the next week. Well another week wnt by and they did contact me to let me know that it will be another week. So after that I just left it at that and they finally got back to me 4 weeks later to let me know that they decided to go with someone inside the company.

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks – interviewed at Waste Management (El Cajon, CA) in July 2013.
I received a voicemail from Rachel in HR about 3-4 days after I applied online. I promptly called her back that afternoon and left a message. After not hearing back from her, I called again later the next afternoon. Again nothing. I finally received an email rejection a month later. Best practices in recruiting would be since she called me and provided her info, she should at least call me back if she was no longer interested. Not a positive candidate experience.

I applied online. The process took 3+ weeks – interviewed at Waste Management in June 2013.
Interview process was thorough, be prepared to answer stereotypical interview questions with a problem you have occurred and how you went about solving the issue. The second interview was a panel that was 2 hrs with various people from the company.
- Asked if I considered my personality as an explorer, teacher or spokesmen. Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 5 days – interviewed at Waste Management in May 2013.
I applied online, received an email stating they weren't interested almost instantly. Then about a week later, I get a phone call about the position I had applied for. I have a pre-screen phone interview then. After that call, I receive instructions to take an online assessment (which by the way was a great tool for them to use). A few days later, I had a phone interview. At the end of the call, I was told that it would be up to the hiring manager to call and schedule a face to face interview. I didn't receive that call but did get the "we are pursuing other candidates at this time" email. No hard feelings. The HR staff was courteous and respectful during this process.
- They like very detailed answers and examples to the questions. Answer Question

I applied online – interviewed at Waste Management (Minneapolis, MN) in March 2013.
received call from recruiter and did phone interview with basic questions. Was contacted and set up f2f interview with hiring manager. was told decision would be made within a week, after not hearing anything for 2 weeks I contacted them and was told position was filled with internal candidate but was ask if I was interested in a different position. I was interested and a time was set-up to talk to recruiter about the position. the recruiter never called at the designated time, I called about 1/2 hour after the time only to receive voicemail. I never heard from them again, the oddest thing I have ever seen in the interview process.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks – interviewed at Waste Management (Kirkland, WA) in March 2013.
Submitted application online through company's website. Received initial screening call from recruiter that lasted one hour. Interviewed in person a total of three times, meeting with four separate area Directors and the Vice President (all of whom I would be working directly for). All employees were friendly and the entire process was very comfortable.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks – interviewed at Waste Management.
I met with four people in two different sessions. The first session was 1:1 with the hiring manager, not an HR person, then I met with the rest of the team and the higher up manager. The team was friendly, very informative, and clear about what they were expecting, and the hiring process. I was told that a decision would be made in a few days and they held to their estimate.
- They were very clear about what they would ask and they stuck to thier plan. Nothing was unexpected. Answer Question
