Very Easy Interview
I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Wells Fargo in September 2013.
Interview Details –
Hey guys I'm back... I had a previous post for FCS II
I pretty much discussed how to bang out a good phone interview
Well this is how my 1on1 interview went...
I received an email with directions date and time... the recruiter was even kind enough to attach a page for interview tips. I arrived 15 minutes early and I actually had to wait on the hiring manager for about 10 minutes which was fine by me :)... I was actually interviewed by two managers from that department at the same time. The atmosphere was very pleasant and they were very very nice. The interview started by them going over the details of the position... made sure I was aware of the hours... training... and other very small details related to the company site. The entire interview was about 8 personality and character questions regarding previous experience or situations... Example... Tell me a little about yourself... Why do you want to work for Wells Fargo...Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult client what did you do and what was the outcome... Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond... Tell me about a time when you helped a co-worker w/o them asking and how did they receive your help... Tell me about a time where your work had to be absolutely as detailed as possible... Tell me about a major acheivement... How do you normally learn things....Sorry guys i cant remember anymore... but it was only about 8 or nine questions total... The interview still took about an hour... IT IS VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO HAVE TWO LINE ANSWERS... you want to take your time... speak clearly... be very detailed and make sure it is about a SPECIFIC situation that you can recall... oh and dont ramble and get off course if you dont understand the question its ok to ask... But the hiring managers were really good about breaking the question down or saying it how I could understand so I didnt need them to re-word it... At the end they did ask if I had any questions... IT IS IMPORTANT TO ASK QUESTIONS GUYS... I asked first and foremost was there anything I could clarify for them or is there anything i am lacking that you would like me to elaborate on... and sure enough one manager did go back to a question and I clarified it perfectly and she even said GOOD QUESTION... I then asked what would be the main quality or trait someone should have to succeed in this position... I then asked if they could just describe their top performer... Again they said great questions... That even lead up to a little casual talk :) :) :)... BUILDING A RAPPORT I must say is one of my strong points... The interview ended and one of the managers walked me out...
Overall very pleasant experience... oh yea I did have to ask them when would I hear something back... they did not offer that info... I was told by Friday of the following week... Well I actually heard something 2 days sooner the main recruiter called me on Wednsday... WOOP WOOP.... well guys like i said before if you do not hear anything within the giving time more than likely you did not get the job... and be smart about the salary google or duh use glassdoor... the starting salary was about $2 less than what I was making at my previous employer (I told them i would like to match my previous salary if possible) but the job roles were so similar they decided to match and I even get a 15% shift differental... WHICH WOULD BE... 0.15 + 1 = 1.15 then base pay $16.20 * $1.15 = $18.63 an hour. This may not be alot to some but I am a college drop out (NOT FLUNK OUT) that never really knew what I wanted to do in life... I have fixed that with this job I will go back to school and work my way up I plan to stay in the financial industry... not to down play anyone AT ALL i just dont plan to be in this position... And I KNOW FIRST HAND BY SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS THAT DO PRETTY WELL FOR THEMSELVES... stated that it is very easy to move around and even move up within this company.
SORRY FOR ANY TYPOS OR GRAMMATICAL ERRORS
