Interview Details – applied online, I then received a phone call from a recruiter. I had about a 15-20 minute phone interview. She then said I would receive a phone call from the local branch for a face to face interview with the branch manager. I was then notified about a week later for an interview. I sat down with 2 managers, they asked normal interview questions but really dove into the sales experience and goals associated with the job.

Negotiation Details – I was not able to negotiate. They said how much they would base pay and we could go from there.

Interview Details – I filled out the online application and was told I'd receive a phone call as the first interview step. When I got the phone call, I had prepared some simple interview question and answers but they didn't help. The woman interviewing me was very short toned and rude. I would be mid sentence and she would cut me off. I was excited about the job at first but after the phone interview I dreaded a follow up, didn't have to worry about that though because they deemed me not a good fit. I don't know if it was me or the interviewer.
Interview Question – Tell me about a time you had to explain policies. Answer Question
Declined Offer – Interviewed in San Francisco, CA – Reviewed Feb 19, 2013
Interview Details – I had interviewed with a mid age lady who is the branch manager. The interview was pretty easy and straightforward. However, she was rude and critical. Honestly, the qualifications and requirements of a teller position are really minimum. But she was trying to scare me with the monthly quotas and referrals we have to meet per day. And she even questioned me why do I think cash handling is a simple task for me. I felt like I got insulted.
Interview Question – Why cash handling is easy? Answer Question

Applied online. Got a call immediately after the screening process. Set up an interview a couple of days later. Came in for a second interview a week later. Interviewed with the Riverdale branch in Coon Rapids, MN. Was hired three days later.
If you are looking to move up in Wells Fargo and into corporate then I would recommend that you ask to be placed at a large branch. Scope out branches that are close to you and put your preference as the largest one. I lucked out in being placed in the Riverdale branch in Coon Rapids. We are one of the largest in the district and if you can't make your sales goals here - you can't make them anywhere!
If you are looking to move up - keep in mind that you HAVE to stay in your position for 1 year before you can move. So be prepared to stick it out. The pay sucks and the sales pressure gets really annoying. But I love my branch because my service managers are awesome and my team is great. We are all close in age and get along very well and even do branch outings and get togethers on a regular basis.
I accepted a teller position with WF b/c I'm working on an MBA and looking to get into corporate. I hit my one year next month and will be applying for corporate positions then. Keep in mind that if you want to go down this same path - realize that you will have to work your way up from the bottom.
Interview Question – Be prepared for questions about meeting sales goals and dealing with stress, customer service - dealing with difficult customers or customers from various backgrounds. Also, know about having to balance a drawer every night by yourself. Keeping cash counts and maintaining organization on your drawer. Answer Question

I filled an application online and received an email for online screening. I received a message that I was eligible for an interview but at this time they did not have open interview slots. After two days I received another email asking me to choose time for my phone interview. The phone interview questions was already what I was expecting based on other reviews posted here, she called a few minutes before I was scheduled to but I was already waiting for her call it took around 20 minutes. She was very friendly and explained some of the responsibilities I would have as a Teller and then asked the following questions:
Tell me about your professional experience.
Why you want to work for Wells Fargo?
What is my career goal with the company?
Describe your biggest accomplishment (professional) and how you did you overcome it.
Describe a time when you went out of your way to provide excellent customer service.
What is your cash handling experience?
Are you ok with $10.50 per hour?
What days and hours would you be willing to work?
What other areas other then the one you applied would you consider to work?
What other languages do you speak?
After that she only said they should be doing more interviews in the following days and they would contact me to let me know if I was selected for an interview with the branch manager.
Interview Question – So do you want to have a career focused more in general management than project management? Answer Question
