Sales Operations Associate Interview

Sales Operations Associate
New York, NY

I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at ZocDoc in December 2011.

Interview Details – Process:
1- I applied online on their website.
2- I got an email quite fast and a first HR phone interview with an Executive Recruiter. This first interview goal was to go through my resume and understand my profile. Great feeling. Dynamic call, very motivating.
3- Then I was offered to talk to the Head of People. 10 minutes call to validate the first step. Really short, did not have time to ask any question. He invited me to walk in and meet the team. Very exciting.
4- Coordinator got in touch to set up interviews. I just got a date and time. I did not know who I would meet or for how long... When I got there, they were totally unprepared. They put me in a room and could not tell me who I was meeting with. I think the people I met had got my resume in hands 2 minutes before walking in and they had no idea which position I was interviewing for. Coordinator would announce someone, and then come back to say "finally, you'll be meeting with that other person". I waited for 15 minutes in a room before meeting with 2 different persons, who spent 8 minutes each with me, with a wait of 20 minutes in between. Interviewers were really fast-paced - borderline aggressive.
5- I got an email 6 days later telling me that I had not been selected and that they were interviewing so many people they could not give a feedback. It was an automatic email from a generic address.

General remarks:
The office looks great, very chill, very cool culture. Everyone seems to love the place. People I met seemed really smart, looking for very fast and excited people. They got me really excited but have been highly disappointed when I met them. I work and took time off my schedule to go, but I felt like just a number in a huge recruiting process.
