    Interview

Pretty straight forward. The questions focuses on data entry and time management. Make sure you emphasize on being a team player. Takes almost a month to be approved and put on pay roll. Takes another week to get you access to the proper applications. Managment doesnt communicate status of apllication or start dates until a few days before.

I applied online. The process took 3+ monthsinterviewed at Zurich North America (Los Angeles, CA).

    Interview

Applied online and got a call from a recruiter about 2 weeks later. The interview with the recruiter was just a phone screen and then she passed my application/information to a hiring manager. She asked me questions about my education, why I was interested in this position, and which one of my accomplishments I was most proud of.

I had a phone interview with the hiring manager about a month later and that was a breeze! It was about a 30 minute phone call and it really felt more like a conversation than an interview. He asked me what my hobbies were, we talked about my interests in this field, favorite courses in college, he talked to me about nanotechnology which was pretty interesting. At the end of the conversation he asked if we could sit down face to face. About a week and a half later I got an email from the recruiter confirming the third interview (scheduled exactly two weeks after my second interview).

My third interview was with the same hiring manager and it wasn't really an interview, again it was more of a conversation and he answered questions I had came with about the position. He was very friendly and extremely helpful. He answered all of my questions thoroughly.

My third interview was on a Friday and I received my offer the following tuesday.

    Negotiation

The salary was non-negotiable, but very competitive- especially for a training program.

    Interview

The interview process was rigorous, however I have a close connection in the company that has worked with Zurich for the last 20 years, which certainly helped tremendously. Multiple phone interviews, one in person interview. I was interviewed by 2 people at once, and they mainly asked about my educational background, job experience, and analytical thinking examples. Fairly straightforward.

    Interview

I was initially contacted by a recruiter who asked very few, simple questions. Two weeks later, the recruiter called and set up an onsite interview. I met with two hiring managers simultaneously that asked me a series of seven behavioral/situational questions. After that they asked additional questions that they had come up during the original questions and, more specifically, about my work history. At the end, they asked if I had any questions. After a week, the recruiter contacted me again and had me meet with the Underwriting Supervisor and a Director. These onsite interviews were more specific to me as a candidate. I met with these two individuals separately. Each took about 45 minutes. Again, time was allotted at the end for me to ask questions. Two weeks later I received an offer.

The interview questions were very standard. They wanted answers to paint a picture of the situation, how you handled it, and the outcome.

Having good questions specific to the position and the company culture were very important. Also, ask questions about things that come up in conversation to show you are listening and digesting the information they provide.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral – interviewed at Zurich North America (New York, NY) in October 2014.

    Interview

Very long process lots of start and stops; staffing center total gatekeeper- had to go around to get process moving- they did not like this and let me know. I believe that the managers would rather do the hiring themselves than rely on this infrastructure with candidate betting and checks and balances. It seems company having lots of turnover so wondering what the reason for this is. I did. It see a lot of potential for upward mobility based on my research
