Area Operations Manager at hotbrands International

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) Nov 2008 – Reviewed Jul 10, 2012

Interview Details – I was called by the Recruitment Manager to schedule an interview with the CEO. During the interview, the CEO was friendly and casual. He did more of behavioral interview with me. The next phase was interview with the owners. They asked me about my experiences in the past especially opening new restaurants. They asked me about my special skills and my leadership style. After that, I was sent an offer letter for the position I was applying for.

Interview Question – What was your greatest challenge and what did you do to overcome it?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – I was given a higher salary than my last job plus all the company provisions, ie laptop, phone etc. The benefits were uniform for everyone so I didn't really insist on anything more.

My advice is that do your research of how much you are worth based on existing market rates. You can try to ask for additional salary or benefit in a polite and reasonable manner. If the company think you deserve it, they will give it to you.
