Current Employee - Manager in Loveland, CO

I have been working at Agrium full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Lots of Opportunity - mostly good people in the field - Canadian company with majority of employees working in other countries. We have had record years 11/12 years. Great private label products and strong agronomists.
    Benefits good but no COLA.

    Cons

New CEO is out of touch - no other way to put it - out of touch with a successful company and he is trying to remake it - he is more concerned with his blogs and new cutting programs than with people. Lots of long time folks would love to leave and many have left and gone to competition.

Good ole boys club has a headquarters at Agrium now. Didn't say old as anyone over 45 is looked on as being a has been.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop and actually listen to the employees - stop telling us this is in the best 50 companies in Canada - many of us are in the US and other countries - kill the blog - get out and ask the workers how to make AGU better. Fix the IT system. Stop making people afraid they will be let go.

    Lead with actions not words.
