    Pros

One of the pros working at Amazon is that you are expected to have a complete ownership of whatever you are doing, and there isn't a lot of hand-holding either. You are expected to sort of "get-it" and start contributing right away.

    Cons

Once the honeymoon is over, you will see AMZN working env is full of bad politics and red tapes. Performance review is totally useless and biased. No managers really cared about your career goals even if you are a high performer, unless your manager really "likes" you. AMZN is a very internally competitive place to work to the point of being unhealthy. Beware of subtle backstabbing teammates, don't trust your team easily. AMZN workplace has a low diversity and I can safely say there are some negative biases towards minorities. Avoid AMZN if you have better options.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are your customers. They are your most sincere critics who can help you better your bottom line.
