I have been working at American Express full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The culture is great. The company believes in work/life balance and they offer a lot of great options when it comes to working from home. The company hires very smart high intellect individuals. The company has a strong presence on a number of ivy league campuses.

    Cons

It is difficult to move up the corporate ladder as the pyramid is very skewed. They hire a lot of analysts/managers and there is not enough room to move up.
