I have been working at Anchor QEA full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great culture and enthusiastic, knowledgeable professionals. Company offers good opportunities for work/life balance with respect to flexible time and floating holidays. Leadership is very proactive on ensuring sufficient backlog of work to keep employees busy.

    Cons

Struggling with rapid growth of the company and the flow of information and workload through a much larger firm. Not being entirely proactive on preventing offices from behaving like profit centers and refusing workload balancing between offices. Having difficulties dealing with employees whose work crosses multiple disciplines and making sure those employees are not pigeonholed into one particular type of project. Sick time (6 paid days a year with no accrual) and bereavement leave (3 days, which is vastly insufficient when travel is required) policies are flat-out awful and cause more stress to employees during already stressful times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The sick time policy basically encourages people to come to work sick and share illnesses with everyone else.
