Former Employee - Technology Associate in New York, NY

I worked at Associated Press full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Very good with work-life benefits. Generally employees and management are very friendly and work together. You could easily work here for many years until you retire - I've met a lot of people who worked for 10, 20, 30+ years here.

    Cons

Company is a bit traditional and old-school in certain ways. Trying hard to preserve "culture" and "how things have been done" for the past 100 years. This is probably not a place if you really want impact and implement ideas that are out-of-the-box.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management seems to be doing an OK job. I'd recommend to probably have a bit more "technical-background" people up there to get on with the times. Lots of new technology innovations can be made if somebody up there is more open-minded/smart in terms of technology.
