I worked at Best Buy full-time (more than a year)

Pay was high considering the work. I loved my GM and a few select superiors (none of which were direct). This place is a superior learning ground for customer service. They always work with your schedule based on what you have going on, which is always a plus for people who have lives, school, or other commitments.

Management never wants to give you a lunch or break. They always complain about how we should be making more RPH but they never realized that most people can't afford a 1000$ trip to best buy every month. Let's also not forget the write ups! They are given at random times. For instance: Jack and Sally are both late three days this week. Jack received a write up on the second late day, and Sally got her write up... never. I was told by a Sup. that write ups aren't in order and that they can basically choose who gets in trouble faster. The entire company is based on favorites, no doubt about that. If you stopped patrolling your area for half a second, a superior will most likely yell at you and then resume playing angry birds on their cell phone. 16 hour days on black friday and some of us didn't get a lunch! NO room to advance. Do not even get me started on Re-Org LOL.
