Former Employee - Assistant Shop Manager in Northampton, England (UK)

I worked at Cancer Research UK full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Volunteers are great and super helpful.

    Cons

Management expect the world from you but don't appreciate your efforts. They will only give you a chance if you fit into their clique, otherwise they will vandalise your opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to your lower-end staff, ensure the correct contracts are provided, keep an eye on the misdeeds of Area Managers, and positively reinforce the hard work of your lower-end staff instead of penalising them for their attempts.
