Great benefits health & education. Great work at home opportunities. Nice pay increase due to meeting industry standards.

A week after the "you deserve this" increase and submitting required vacation submissions for first half 2015, they announced we would be forfeiting our schedules and would be required to bid on new ones that would not be disclosed until mid January. Required days of Monday, Friday, And one weekend day would ensure no opportunity of consecutive days off that included weekend without using vacation hours. Shifts also for later in the day. Therefore rendering just completed vacation bid useless and upending work life balance for the majority involved. Disrupting class schedules for college students who've been registered and paid for and with results not being available til mid January, unable to make timely adjustments in class schedule. Happy holidays. As an employee, the need for weekend coverage is understood and would be easily implemented. The complete upending of our personal/family lives at short notice does not coincide with their mission statement "do what's right" but is an unfortunate reminder of our place in the organization. When questioned as to why the added measure of no concurrent day off that would include one weekend day beyond the new work hours and weekend the answer was that most companies would not even warn us. I think most LARGE companies would and may have taken, possibly, a more measured approach.
