Current Employee - Dietary Aide in Moorestown, NJ

I have been working at CareOne part-time (more than 5 years)

The coworkers in dietary and housekeeping are the most unappreciated departments in the facility. We work extremely hard and we at least know, what no one bothers to tell us.

Dietary people are viewed as being removed from the truth behind the operation. I witnessed an extremely hard working and caring woman terminated. She was one of the best bosses that we ever had. The kitchen was really changing and we passed inspection with nothing for the first time since I have been here. They think that the reason they gave us of why she was fired that we would fall for their explanation. They already hired someone before the so called their reason even happened. Guess what, he told us that he was already working for the company. Come on, he started the day that she was terminated! The games that are played here and the horrible way that they treat people is awful. I will finish school soon and will gladly walk away from this nightmare. Please don't think that we are stupid just because we work in the kitchen. You made a big mistake letting her go and the residents are not happy about it either.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The corporate guidelines may be laid out, but management is so removed. They have no idea, what the "real" people are doing and you terminate them. Wake up to reality and stop drinking the Kool-Aid.
