I have been working at Century 21 full-time (less than a year)

Great training, although time-consuming. Free training. The idea of working for yourself is thrilling. Very supportive environment. Many networking opportunities.

High commission split when just starting at 50/50. There are so many fees to being in real estate, that I was terribly under-capitalized and I am now considering going back to work full-time and making real estate a part-time thing. Not a lot of hands-on guidance. No one will tell you how to handle your own business or give advice on things like, how & when to pay taxes, etc. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that next April doesn't bring me down too much financially.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a class once a month for new agents that outlines things like, how & when to pay taxes, tax law, how to run your own business.
