    I worked at City of Asheville full-time for more than 10 years


    Good benefits and job security.


    Lack of pay raises, administration incompetent, poor leadership and decision making within the police and human resources departments, and lack of respect for employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Anyone that "grew up" in the Annarino administration of the Police Department needs to be removed from a leadership position. Stop spending countless dollars on surveys to assess whether something is feasible or not, make a decision and go with it, or not. For a small city, there seems to be a lack in oversight of the various departments that comprise city government, and a plan to improve this lack of accountability would greatly improve the image of the city as well as prevent future controversy and lawsuits.
