Good people. Many opportunities to try new things or switch market offerings or industries. Many professional development programs for high performing professionals.
Difficult for minorities and women to get ahead - hard to find sponsors - work-life balance is a huge challenge at all level, but especially the Manager level. While many programs are available for advancement and professional development, all are geared towards high performer, leaving out those that may actually need true development opportunities.
Advice to Management
Focus should be on not just high-performers but also those mid-range performers that could also be high performers if a little support was provided.
