Dow Jones Newswire's Japanese Language Service is looking for a Copy Editor/Translator in San Francisco bureau. The successful candidate will be an experienced editor and translator with the ability to write in clear and sophisticated Japanese about everything from corporate news to various markets including equities, foreign exchange and fixed income. This person is expected to have enough knowledge about macro economics and monetary or fiscal policies. Choosing proper news from DJ's English wires, this person needs to translate or edit and publish them in a timely manner to the services. This position requires an ability to work closely with others, including members in London and Tokyo bureau, as well as colleagues across the States. Prior experience in media entity isn't a must, but an eagerness to learn new things and high-achieving spirit is essential.
