    I have been working at Dow Jones full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Interesting work, good benefits, including a fine health plan, generous vacation time and managers (mostly) who understand work/life balance.

    Cons

    Management hierarchy on the business side that doesn't have a clue about how to increase the top line in this digital world and an editorial hierarchy that is similarly clueless on growing the digital footprint. Try as they might, but methods and approach are outdated and attempts at growth follow a familiar, worn path tried, and failed, by others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Too much deadwood still hanging around. Too many jobs created at higher levels just to keep some highly paid log employed.
