Great people, environment is very fast paced and occasionally stymied by the beuracracy.

Very casual, almost start up atmosphere. Generally good people. Fast-paced if you like that. Also an older leaning demographic in terms of age range, though good to get your foot in the door. Pretty open about telecommuting ( a must in an area prone to inclement weather ), though you will jump through hoops to get the VPN. Generally if you are commuting from Chicago/north/west suburbs you will be going against traffic so the drive is bearable. Despite the economic issues of being a company that sells a non-essential commodity, it's growing at a pretty good clip.

Fast-paced if you don't like it. There was definitely some degree of micromangement. High turnover and office politics ( of course thats a given in any corporate environment) sometimes made for uncomfortable times. Expect a long grind during flower-heavy holidays and being there late and/or weekends. If you're young you might be in the minority of employee makeup. There's also been a lot of changes over the past three years so there's been some shakeups. Do not expect a lot of work life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust your departments when they make decisions. They have stake in this company too. Also don't alienate them as you go through growing pains as a company.
