    -Excellent benefits (6% match on 401k with no vesting period, 19 days of vacation, large bonuses, and more---the best benefits I've seen at a big company)
    -Opportunities to jump around the company in different roles
    -Ability to learn a variety of skills/products/technologies due to vast and varied systems used at the company
    -Low-pressure environment


    -Bureaucratic to an extreme, which makes it hard to get anything done
    -So large that it's difficult to navigate and figure out who does what, and who you need to talk to in order to get things done
    -Highly siloed, with lots of redundancy between departments
    -Largely unmotivated workers who have one specific task/role, and won't give any effort beyond that one task/role (many of whom have been at Farmers for 10+ years)
    -Uncompetitive products and services compared to other insurance companies
    -Distant and unresponsive C-level management

    Advice to Management

    Take a hard look at different functions and roles in the various departments and eliminate redundancy, particularly between the Product, Sales and Marketing teams. Consolidate the multiple PMO groups.
