I worked at Green Mountain Energy part-time (less than a year)

Great, friendly team members to work with, supportive team-leaders/management, FLEXIBLE scheduling, potentially good pay (commission only) IF you're good at street sales.
IF you're good at street sales (i.e. being able to stop people on the street, rapport, overcome objections and close a sale and not get discouraged by a lot of no's), the pay can be good ($20+ per hour. and beyond). I was not good at street sales, but definitely saw team members that were who had been with the company quite some time. If you're have a friendly, assertive, persistent and out-going nature and, of course, care about the environment, it might a great fit for you.

You have to sometimes carry a somewhat heavy table to your scheduled places. It can be quite taxing attempting to stop people for five hours (typical length of a shift) and have so many people ignore you, etc. You have stay positive in spite of that in order to keep the good sales vibes flowing. Commission-based (when you're doing good it's great, when you're not, commission only sucks). They do have a minimum wage guarantee, however.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think more paid training should be done on field with few senior agents to get inspired by different styles. I also think that newer agents should get additional refresher training with seasoned agents (on the filed-- intellectually talking about it and role-playing isn't the same), revisiting the same topics on a deeper level and fine-tuning as they progress.
