    I have been working at Hitachi Data Systems full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    It's hands down the best work environment I've ever been in. The people are supportive and really care about your success and that of the company. We make some of the best products in our target markets and we are growing at an incredible pace. The culture is fantastic from management down to each individual and I always look forward to the challenges I get to solve every day.

    Cons

    Pay scales, especially for younger engineers are going to run a little on the lean side compared to other players when you first start. If you can deal with this and add value everyday and petition for more responsibility and keep asking how can you get better, you'll get raises after some time. They need to offer higher starting salaries though to stay competitive, even for just out of college level engineers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay your younger employees more and start offering more small, frequent raises along with the bonuses, it will boost productivity and help with retention if people get small raises every year or every other year.
