    Pros

Koskinen is a great leader and should help the IRS improve its image. The IRS has the same positives as most government jobs - predictable, stable, decent benefits.

    Cons

The IRS is the whipping post of republican congress. Severely limits the IRS budget and opportunities for career advancement.
