I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits for your family, better than most companies. Sabbaticals with 2 months off paid every 7 years or the employee can take up to six weeks off with pay every 4 years. Employee can stay long term in this company if they work hard receiving good performance reviews year after year. Pay is pretty good, no complaints there. There are many great things about Intel's benefits, too many to list.

    Cons

Company has a lot of politics and training is not a focus for new employees. As a new employee, be prepared to seek out information on your own with limited amount of help from experienced employees, mentors are hard to find at Intel. If employed as a exempt employee, expect to work around the clock with very little work life balance. Also if hired as a non exempt night shift employee there is very little chance of ever being moved to a day shift position if the nights does not work for you. Until the employee has some health condition preventing them from working nights, management will not allow you to move to day shift most of the time. Something to keep in mind when they ask if you would be willing to work night shift when hired.
