I have been working at LG&E and KU Energy full-time (more than 5 years)

Benefits, pay, and off duty. Work life balance is ok, with the exception of on call.

Once you are in the customer service department it is really difficult to get out. This is a job most people see as a "foot in the door" opportunity, but it seems to be a permanent job. You can move up within the call center but in most cases you really don't want to. Requires more on call job duties and A LOT of drama. Insanity is a common feeling as no one in upper management is pro change so everything is always done as it has always been done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire managers who are deserving of the position rather than people who have been here the longest. Management struggles greatly in customer service. We work virtually all over the state and the managers refuse to work together. It's like being in the middle of a fighting couple going through a divorce. Everyone wants it there way, and they refuse to see any other side or hear any other options.
